How Long Does Rhinoplasty Surgery Take?
At Este Aura, first, an aesthetic service surgery plan is made, and then the technical details of the surgery are explained to the patient. A fasting period of at least 5 hours is required on the day of surgery. A check-up is performed regarding the surgery, and the final doctor-patient consultation takes place. Rhinoplasty surgery is performed under general anesthesia. On the other hand, if only a procedure related to the nose tip is to be performed, local anesthesia is applied. After the surgery, slight swelling and bruising may be observed. Here, the patient's nasal structure, previous surgical history, and bone structure are examined as determining factors. Since rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia, it does not cause pain or discomfort during the surgery. After the surgery, a cast is placed on the patient's nose, and apart from mild soreness, no major issues are experienced. Rhinoplasty surgery takes about 1 hour. If the patient is anxious, sedatives and relaxing medications can be administered to the patient before the surgery. In rhinoplasty surgeries; closed and open techniques are applied. The closed technique can be suitable for patients with a straight nose and minimal breathing problems. The open technique is considered suitable for patients who have had surgery before, have breathing problems, or have significant nasal curvature and nose tip issues.
